Streamline Your Entry

Download your digital membership card on a mobile device for easy, touch-free Aquarium access. You can find the link in your welcome email or contact us to get a new link.

Use our online reservation system to conveniently choose the day and time of your visit. For the best experience, we recommend visiting Monday through Thursday during the day or weekend mornings right after we open, which tend to be less crowded.

Parking & Dining Discounts

Park at one of our two partner garages to take advantage of your 25% member discount. Keep your ticket with you and have it validated as you leave the Aquarium. Use your 10% discount on our grab-and-go food and beverage options while our dine-in cafes are temporarily closed. Whether you purchase something at the Aquarium or a nearby restaurant or bring food with you, we have plenty of tables and benches available right outside. Please note that no food or drinks are allowed to be brought inside the Aquarium, with the exception of water bottles, which can be refilled at touch-free water filling stations throughout our buildings.

Can I apply my Aquarium ticket purchase toward a membership?

Yes! Within 30 days of your purchase, you can apply a portion of the cost of general admission tickets to a new membership for the ticket holders.

Individual: A maximum value of $39.95 (value of one adult general admission ticket) may be applied.

Dual: A maximum value of $79.90 (value of two adult general admission tickets) may be applied.

Family: A maximum value of $169.75 (value of two adult general admission tickets and three children's tickets) may be applied.

Ocean Ambassador: A maximum value of $229.65 (value of two adult general admission tickets and five children's tickets) may be applied.

If you purchased your tickets online, please call 410-659-4230 between 9 am and 4:30 pm seven days a week to activate your membership by phone. If you purchased your tickets at the National Aquarium, you must have the original paper receipt for the tickets; contact us at to complete the process. Please note that purchases from multiple visits cannot be combined, and the cost of 4D movies are not eligible to be deducted from the price of membership. Membership balance is due at the time of activation.

Can I purchase a membership onsite at the Aquarium?

Yes. Visit Member Services to upgrade or renew your membership.

Is my membership tax deductible?

Yes. The National Aquarium is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (EIN 52-1121163). Your membership donation is tax deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law.

What is your membership cancellation/refund policy?

Memberships are considered donations and are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Membership cards are not transferable to anyone not covered by your membership, except for a babysitter who can accompany children covered by the membership free of charge.

How do I add my digital membership card to my Apple or Android device?

If you recently joined or renewed your membership, check your email for a welcome message containing a link to download your digital membership card. You can also contact the membership department ( to request your digital card.

How many membership cards will I receive?

One membership card will be issued for each adult named on the membership. Children will not receive membership cards unless they are 16 or older and named as a primary membership holder.

Can I visit if I don't have my membership card?

Yes! Membership cards are requested to speed entry, but a valid photo ID can also be presented at the Member Entrance if you haven't downloaded your digital card or/or don't have your non-digital card. Replacement cards can be printed at Member Services.

How do I purchase tickets for people not covered by my membership?

Members may purchase discounted guest admission tickets at Member Services or by calling 410-659-4230. Tickets will be mailed to your home within 7-10 business days or may be left at Member Services for pickup with 24 hours' notice. Guests may pick up these tickets and enter through the Member Entrance without a member present. Valid photo ID is required. These tickets expire one year from purchase.

Can my child who is covered by the membership visit without one of the named adult members?

Yes! Children covered by the membership can visit without an adult if they are at least 16 and if they bring the membership card and a valid photo ID. An adult named on the membership must accompany all children under the age of 16.

Can my babysitter bring my children to the Aquarium?

Yes! When none of the adults named on the membership can attend, one sitter may accompany children covered by the membership free of charge. The sitter must possess your membership card, their photo ID and a signed note from an adult member identifying the sitter and children attending.
