Diamondback Terrapin

Terrapins in the Classroom

Participating classes receive diamondback terrapin hatchlings to care for, study and release back to their natural habitat.

National Aquarium - Wetland Nursery

Wetland Nursery Program

Students build a nursery pond on school grounds and raise wetland plants onsite. At the end of the school year, they transplant them to one of our wetland restoration sites.

Field Trips at the ACRC

Education programs at the Animal Care and Rescue Center will be offered for grades 6-12 from November through February as a standalone experience.
