Lead Funder of the Harbor Wetland Exhibit
Harbor Wetland presented by CFG Bank will turn the waterfront surrounding the Aquarium into a living laboratory that promotes healthy water, attracts native species and teaches students and other Inner Harbor visitors about wetland ecosystems.
As part of the project, the Aquarium installed a prototype floating wetland in the harbor between Piers 3 and 4 in August 2017. Since then, the prototype has provided microhabitats for an increasing number of species, including turtles, fishes and birds.
"The Aquarium's waterfront campus is educational and it's accessible to everyone. That's big. That's what convinced me that [supporting it] is the right thing to do."
CFG Bank and the Aquarium announced the gift at a joint event in November 2019.
