The lined seahorse is the only seahorse species present in the Chesapeake Bay. These ambush predators hitch their unique tails to grasses and other objects and wait for unsuspecting prey—including larval shrimp, amphipods and worms—to pass by. Please note, the lined seahorse is not on exhibit at this time.
