Swimming Among the Tree Trunks
Get up close with residents of our Amazon River Forest exhibit, which replicates a flooded forest surrounding an Amazon tributary.

This exhibit portrays an Amazon tributary at the beginning of its seasonal flooding. During this time, rivers overflow their banks and flood the surrounding forest, creating a one-of-a-kind river forest habitat where fish, turtles and other animals swim among tree trunks.
