National Aquarium Welcomes Kasie Regnier as Vice President of Environmental Quality and Facilities

The National Aquarium is pleased to announce the appointment of Kasie Regnier as Vice President of Environmental Quality and Facilities. In her new role, Regnier will oversee the Facilities Operations, Life Support and Capital Construction teams, who are responsible for the Aquarium's physical systems, water and energy operations, construction and building infrastructure.

Regnier brings over 18 years of marine facility experience to the role, most recently serving as the Director of Facility Operations and Water Science at the Monterey Bay Aquarium for 10 years. As director, she led a wide variety of projects and operations across the organization, including life support, environmental permitting and compliance, infrastructure planning, construction and more.

"Her extensive background working in aquarium environments makes her the perfect fit to oversee our facilities and ensure that everything is running smoothly, from the day-to-day wellbeing of our guests and animal residents to campus planning and the future of our infrastructure."

In addition to her professional experience, Regnier holds a Master of Arts in sustainability from Harvard University, with a focus on sustainable infrastructure and the relationship between water and energy systems. She also holds a Master of Science in zoology/animal behavior from the University of Hawaii.
