Pacific sea nettles are particularly beautiful jellies, with their pulsing, pleated yellowish-brown bells and striking tentacles that combine thick, translucent ruffles trailing delicate threads of deep yellow to dark red. These tentacles are covered with stinging cells that are lethal to prey—although not dangerous to people.
