A New Vision for Animal Care and Rescue

We're building a new Animal Care and Rescue Center in Baltimore's Jonestown neighborhood.

  • News

The 50,000 square-foot property, located on East Fayette Street, will provide a lasting and permanent solution for the care of the Aquarium's current and future animal collections and rescue operations.

After 22 years at our Animal Care Center in Fells Point, we are excited to offer visitors and community members the opportunity to better understand our animal quarantine process and the complex art of exhibit fabrication for a living collection.

Those who visit us behind-the-scenes at this location will also get to see our animal rescue team at work caring for sick and injured marine mammals!

The renovation of our new Animal Care and Rescue Center is slated to occur over the next 18 months, with the transition to the new facility complete in 2018.

Stay tuned for more updates on this project!
