There are several types of marketing requests, each with various turnaround times. Regardless of request type, please allow 3-5 additional business days for submitted requests to be reviewed. Certain requests may benefit from an initial kickoff meeting; in this case, please allow for additional time beyond the request's allotted turnaround period.
Project Requests
Use this request form for the majority of Aquarium efforts. Please be as specific as possible in outlining objectives and expectations.
Completed project turnaround times will start at 20 business days, but may vary widely based on scope, length, subject matter and amount of information provided at the outset.
Examples: Collateral, publications, webpages, email campaigns, graphic design support, content creation
In-Person Event Promotion Request
Use this request form for in-person event needs such as event web pages, flyers, emails, etc. Please be as specific as possible in outlining dates, timelines and expectations.
Please submit a minimum of 60 days prior to the event.
Examples: Shell-ebration, conservation days, donor evenings
Photo, Video and Audio Requests
Use this form to request an existing image or video, or to request the creation of new images and videos. This includes photo/video coverage of an event.
Photo acquisition: Project turnaround will start at 10-20 business days depending on complexity of request. Event photography will require a customized plan based on date and location.
Video production: Anticipate a customized plan for each project, starting at 6-8 weeks. For event coverage, notice of at least 10 business days is required to ensure staff is on site.
Archived video and photo delivery: Photo/video delivery times start at 3 business days depending on amount of information provided and scope of material needed.
Examples: Images/videos needed for presentations, research, media requests, social media, etc.
Web Updates
Use this form to request changes to existing page content, fix a broken link, fix an online ticketing issue and to address general bugs.
Urgent web updates and repairs: Every reasonable effort will be made to ensure issues receive same-day attention.
General web updates: Turnaround for updates begin at five (5) business days after content delivery for routine e-marketing campaigns, or up to 10 days for unique, automated or segmented campaigns. New and major website requests will require a customized plan beginning at 10 business days.
Siriusware e-commerce requests: Siriusware e-commerce requests require a minimum of 10 days for original requests, or five (5) days from receipt of content for routine updates.
QR Codes
In alignment with brand and digital standards, the Communications team is now able to produce custom QR codes to support appropriate programs and priorities. The codes produced by our team include Aquarium branding, analytics and tracking, and have been vetted for security. As QR codes once again gain popularity, it's important to ensure that the information being accessed through any requested codes is also accessible to individuals who cannot or do not wish to use the code. These codes should be used as supplemental engagement tools, not replacements. QR codes require a minimum of five (5) days from receipt of content for basic QR code creation. Additional needs/specifications may extend final delivery date.
Design Updates & Reprints
Use this form to request reprints and to make small content changes to existing documents.
Design updates and reprints begin at 5-10 business days between original request and draft for your review, depending on extent of revisions and extent of new content/design. Delivery of printed materials may be impacted by outside vendor schedules and turnaround times.
Content Review/Editing
Use this form to request proofreading by our writing team for grammatical and style guide errors (including documents, web entries, applications, presentations, etc.) or to request content review for brand alignment by the brand strategy team (including social media, PR and related content types for external partners).
Content review/editing jobs begin at 3 business days, depending on the amount of information provided. A reasonable effort will be made to ensure any urgent materials receive immediate attention. Please do not submit content for review until it is considered "final" by all stakeholders.
Marketing Data Requests
Use this form to request data points from our website, emails or social media. We will need at least 5 business days to complete requests, so be sure to send in your requests ahead of time. Please note that we will only complete data requests when needed for projects/presentations.
Story Ideas
Share your long-form story ideas with the Communications team for possible inclusion in various owned channels (like aqua.org and YouTube). Use the form below to provide us with the necessary details so we better understand your story and who is involved in it.
Please note that our editorial calendar is planned at least 6 months in advance; we will, however, make every effort to accommodate relevant, timely stories.
Social Media Requests
Use this form to submit general ideas for social media or to request a specific social post.
Our social media plan is set 3 months in advance, and posts are generally locked in 21 days out. We will do our best to accommodate urgent requests, but please submit specific post requests at least 30 days prior to the requested post date.
We will review requests within 5 business days.
