Sharks are not the fearsome eating machines portrayed in movies; they’re unique and intelligent animals whose amazing survival adaptations have kept them atop the ocean food chain since prehistoric times. With this engaging virtual presentation, we’ll introduce your students to these fascinating “monsters” while dispelling some of the most common shark myths.
Live animals: Your virtual presentation will include a look at animals in our exhibits

Duration: 40 minutes
Thanks to generous support from the Maryland State Department of Education, fees for this program will be waived for the first 2,000 students from Baltimore City Public Schools or Maryland Title 1 schools.

Accessing Virtual Programs
The National Aquarium uses Zoom as our platform for virtual programming. If you are required by your school to use a different platform, you will need to arrange in advance to host the session on that platform and invite Aquarium staff to the meeting.
You must cancel your reservation at least 21 days prior to your scheduled program to receive a full refund. If you cancel your reservation less than 21 days in advance or fail to participate in your scheduled program, you forfeit all program fees.
