Alex Antkowiak Joins National Aquarium as Controller and Vice President of Finance

Alex Antkowiak joins National Aquarium to lead financial reporting, planning and analytical activities in support of its mission.

The National Aquarium is pleased to welcome Alex Antkowiak as its controller and vice president of finance. Alex joins the Aquarium with more than 26 years of experience in public and private accounting in both corporate and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, Alex served as controller at Goucher College, located in Towson, Maryland, for 14 years.

As controller and vice president of finance at the National Aquarium, Alex is responsible for the quality and administration of accounting, financial reporting, planning and analytical activities. Alex will also ensure the integrity of data throughout the Aquarium's financial systems.

"We are pleased to have Alex join the Aquarium; he brings a wealth of experience to our team," said Ismael Savadogo, National Aquarium CFO. "In his role, Alex will safeguard our financial systems and streamline accounting practices allowing the Aquarium to further its mission to inspire conservation of the world's aquatic treasures."

Prior to working at Goucher College, Alex served as controller at Canusa Corporation for five years. He is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Stevenson University.
