National Aquarium Names Jennifer Driban as Senior VP of External Affairs

Driban will continue to plan and coordinate government affairs strategy for the Aquarium.

The National Aquarium is pleased to announce Jennifer Driban as its new Senior Vice President of External Affairs. Driban has served as Vice President of Government Affairs since joining the Aquarium in 2016.

In this new role, Driban will continue to plan and coordinate government affairs strategy for the National Aquarium, advocating for the organization with elected and appointed leaders at the city, county, state and federal level. Driban will also lead the Aquarium's Conservation Programs and Conservation Policy teams. She will work closely with conservation leaders to strategically grow the Aquarium's impact through community engagement and field programs, increased policy advocacy and education programs that emphasize specific conservation actions people can take in their daily lives.

"In just two years here, Jen has already made a significant difference in advancing the National Aquarium's mission. She has grown our advocacy campaigns for stronger environmental protections, increased our support at all levels of government, and become a key member of our executive leadership team," said Chief Executive Officer John Racanelli. "With the expanded scope this new role brings, Jen will hold direct responsibility for integrating our broad range of conservation programs with our policy work at local, state and national levels. Her unique talents make her the ideal leader for this new and comprehensive approach."

Prior to joining the Aquarium, Driban served as district director for Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger. Driban also previously served as a legislative aide to Senator Edward Kasemeyer of the Maryland General Assembly.

She serves on the Board of Directors for both the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore and Emerge Maryland. She is also a member of the Downtown Baltimore Family Alliance.

Driban earned a Bachelor of Science in political science and metropolitan studies from Towson University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Baltimore and Towson University. She resides with her family in Baltimore City.
