At the National Aquarium, there’s no shortage of baby animals that arrive every year. What better way to wrap up 2018 than by rounding up this year’s cutest baby animals in one aww-worthy post!
As part of our Terrapins in the Classroom initiative, 48 baby diamondback terrapins are heading to classrooms across the state to grow.
The nation’s largest estuary is home to a variety of species, including Maryland’s state reptile, the diamondback terrapin.
More than 100 students from nine Maryland counties recently traveled to Poplar Island on the Chesapeake Bay for the first of two turtle releases as part of the National Aquarium’s 2016-17 Terrapins in the Classroom program!
