Roy D. Prather, III

Board Member

As a principal at Beveridge & Diamond, an environmental law firm, Roy D. Prather, III, represents businesses and public sector entities across a broad range of industry sectors in federal and state courts. He defends citizen suits and class actions involving toxic tort and product liability claims under federal environmental laws. Roy works with clients on issues relating to regulatory compliance, indemnity and other commercial contract disputes, contaminated site cleanup under the federal Superfund law (CERCLA), and multi-stakeholder interactions related to environmental justice. He is a member of the National Aquarium's Conservation Education Advisory Group. Roy is also a founding member and serves on the Board of the Black BigLaw Pipeline Inc., and he is a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters and Bridges Baltimore. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in international relations from University of Pennsylvania and juris doctorate from Georgetown University.
