Chuck Tildon

Chuck Tildon is vice president of external affairs for the University of Maryland Medical System. He is responsible for communicating the vision and key objectives of the 13-hospital system to a host of external stakeholders in the business, philanthropic and governmental communities in Baltimore and throughout the state. Chuck is also responsible for helping expand relationships in each community served by the system's affiliate hospitals. Most recently, Chuck served as vice president of external affairs at United Way of Central Maryland. Chuck is an active civic volunteer in the greater Baltimore community. He believes that education is the cornerstone of youth development and in his role as board chair of Middle Grades Partnership, he worked to ensure that middle schoolers from Baltimore City Public Schools were prepared for challenging high school environments. In addition to serving on the Board of the National Aquarium, he is actively involved with Visit Baltimore, the city's tourism agency.
