City Nature Challenge: Baltimore

Overview

City Nature Challenge is an annual event that encourages community scientists in cities around the world to get nerdy with nature by spotting as many plant and wildlife species as possible and then tracking their sightings in the iNaturalist app. The challenge is an opportunity to connect with other cities across the nation—and the globe—while documenting the biodiversity found in the Baltimore region. Nature is all around us, even in urban areas, and if you look a little harder, you may be surprised by what you find.
