Frequently Asked Questions

Do you allow strollers?

For the comfort and safety of all guests, strollers are not permitted on our exhibit route. We do offer stroller check by our main entrance, but space is limited and we encourage you to leave your stroller at home if possible.

Where can I find the photos taken of me during my visit?

Visit Magic Memories and enter the number on the back of your PhotoCard to see your photos, order prints and share online. If you lost your PhotoCard number, fill out this Magic Memories support form.

Do you offer a special rate for AAA members?

Yes! We offer special ticket pricing for AAA members who purchase tickets through AAA. Contact your local AAA office to learn more.

Do you have wheelchairs to rent?

Guests may borrow wheelchairs, free of charge, with the deposit of a driver's license. These manual wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis for use inside the Aquarium only.

Can I bring food into the Aquarium?

Food and beverages obtained outside the Aquarium are not allowed inside Aquarium buildings; however, there are picnic tables and benches outside the Aquarium if you choose to bring your own food. Touch-free water bottle refill stations are available for use throughout our campus. Guests are encouraged to bring their own water bottles. Guests with food allergy concerns or those with dietary restrictions or requirements can contact us at 410-576-3800.

What happens if I am running late for my entry time printed on my ticket?

If you're running a few minutes late, you may still enter the building after the entry time printed on your ticket, depending on capacity and queue for entry.

Are tickets refundable?

All admission purchases are nontransferable and nonrefundable.

Do you donate tickets?

Yes! We support our fellow nonprofits by donating to fundraising efforts and/or providing tickets that their constituents may use to visit the Aquarium. Learn more and submit a request on our Community page. We also offer many affordable opportunities to visit, but do not make donations directly to individuals or individual families.

Is the National Aquarium a government entity?

No. The National Aquarium is neither managed nor funded by the federal government. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported by our guests and the generosity of donors, members and volunteers.
