Each month, our conservation teams removes a Biohut to inventory urban wildlife utilizing the mini-ecosystem. Fourteen Biohuts are submerged along the bulkhead in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and we’ve documented over 18 different aquatic species including grass shrimp, blue crabs, American eels, and more living within the artificial oyster reef. See for yourself what lives in our Biohuts and how the program is heling to restore harbor habitat.
