Oysters are powerful water filters and great indicators of the Chesapeake Bay's health. Schedule this presentation as part of your National Aquarium field trip and empower your students to get to know these remarkable mollusks, test water samples and draw conclusions about the state of the Bay. Your class will work hand-in-hand with Aquarium experts and come away with a better understanding of our regional waterways.

Duration: 45 minutes
Maximum number of students: 64 at the Aquarium; 30 per session at your school or location
*Price at the main Aquarium campus: $8 per student
*Price at your school or location: $250 for first program; $125 for each additional program booked for the same day

Outreach Programs in Your School or Location

The National Aquarium education team will begin accepting requests for outreach programs for the 2023-24 school year in June 2023. Outreach programs are available November through April. Additional programs on the same day in the same location may be available for an additional fee.

*Depending on your location, travel fees of $25 to $100 may be applicable.

Cancellation Policy

You must cancel your reservation at least 21 days prior to your scheduled program to receive a full refund. If you cancel your reservation less than 21 days in advance or fail to participate in your scheduled program, you forfeit all program fees.
