From cultivating optimal guest experiences in our cafés every day to serving up delicious food and beverages for private client events, Sodexo – a global brand and long-time National Aquarium supporter – is an integral part of our day-to-day operations. A National Aquarium partner for more than 20 years, Sodexo’s critical role extends beyond daily food service to generous philanthropic support of capital projects and outreach programs like Seafood Smart and the Henry Hall Conservation Leadership Program.

Sodexo’s commitment to sustainability is clear in their work both within and beyond Aquarium walls. Sodexo reduces the environmental impacts at their client sites, promotes sustainable sourcing practices and optimizes water and energy consumption. In addition, they are an integral partner in our commitment to reduce the use of single-use plastics in our building, preventing plastic waste from making its way to our waterways. With their leadership, our café spaces are now 99% free of single-use plastics. In their place, guests will now find reusable water bottles; compostable lids, straws, and utensils; and glass and aluminum beverage containers, which are far more likely to be recycled. Furthermore, sustainable seafood choices are made when crafting menus so that guests can be assured of Sodexo’s compliance with their Global Sustainable Supply Chain code of conduct.
