About Our Food
We start with wholesome ingredients produced in eco-friendly and humane ways—from local produce and shade-grown coffee to sustainable seafood and all-natural, hormone-free chicken and grass-fed beef.
When possible, we use seasonal ingredients harvested at the peak of freshness from regional farms supporting local communities and reducing our carbon footprint by purchasing foods from fields just hours or even minutes away.
Expert staff take pride in transforming fresh ingredients into a variety of nutritious and great-tasting dishes using limited sugar, salt and fat. We offer healthy alternatives to traditional food choices.
Our food and beverages are served in containers that are reusable compostable or recyclable, to limit the amount of waste entering our landfills. And we offer an easy-to-use composting station that invites you to join us in returning valuable nutrients back to the soil.
Health and Safety
For the health and safety of our animals, food, beverages and gum are not allowed outside of the Aquarium's designated dining areas. Food and beverages obtained outside the Aquarium are not allowed inside Aquarium buildings; however, there are picnic tables and benches outside the Aquarium if you choose to bring your own food.
Our food may contain ingredients unsuitable for those with allergies or dietary restrictions. Please speak with the chefs about ingredients during your visit, or contact our special needs liaison prior to your visit with questions regarding bringing your own food.
