Many of us recognize their music as the backdrop to summer evenings. Almost anywhere, in any environment, frogs fill the night with the music of their croaks, yaps, grunts, chirps, whoops, trills, snores, growls, and whistles.
Follow their calls anywhere – in tropical forests, frozen tundra or scorching deserts, from rural countrysides to bustling cities – and, if you look closely, you’ll find frogs hopping, climbing, walking, running, burrowing, swimming, and maybe even gliding.
These amphibians are among the most visually stunning, vocally pleasing, and adaptively remarkable life forms on earth, but their chorus is fading. The beauty and elegance of frogs is often overlooked, but in Frogs: A Chorus of Colors, we invite you to take a closer look. And a good listen.
