The National Aquarium was filled to the gills with special guests on June 22 and 29 during its two Grade A Student Night celebrations! A total of 2,479 guests—including 1,010 local students—enjoyed a free evening of fun during the 25th annual event, which included full access to all the Aquarium’s exhibits, plus extra entertainment.

Students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade in Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Howard County who achieved three or more A’s (or equivalent) in any one marking period earned free admission to the Aquarium for themselves and one guest.

Due to the popularity of Grade A Student Night, this year’s celebration was expanded to two nights for the first time! Another new feature was a showcase of the National Aquarium’s student, school and family education programs such as Henry Hall, Aquarium on Wheels, summer internships and more.

Students and their guests also enjoyed special showings in the 4-D Immersion Theatre, live musical performances and animal encounters throughout the evening. children-holding-report-cards

Grade A Student Night is one of many programs that allow Marylanders to connect to the aquatic world and enjoy the National Aquarium for free or at reduced prices. This year’s Grade A Student Night was supported by the Macy’s Foundation.
