Read to Reef Book Club is BACK!

Take a look back at the first season of our reading program with Baltimore’s Enoch Pratt Free Library!

Published September 20, 2016

In partnership with our local library, the National Aquarium’s Read to Reef program offers a unique opportunity for kids to earn a free Aquarium visit through reading. By connecting our city youth’s love of reading to the aquatic world, we hope to drive awareness of our blue planet and the critical responsibility each of us has to protect it.

We have the opportunity to raise an environmentally conscious generation that will respect and preserve the ocean that gives us life. Knowledge is a critical tool in achieving that goal—and what better place to find it than in a book?

After debuting last February, more than 2,700 children have joined the Read to Reef program, collectively reading 13,500 books about the aquatic world!

Want to get your family in on the reading fun? Read to Reef returns to your local Pratt Library branch on October 1. Children in the fifth grade and below who have a Pratt Library card are eligible to join our book club!
