Our newest exhibit, which has welcomed more than one million guests since opening in May 2015, celebrates the natural wonders of the mid-Atlantic’s coastal ecosystem. Living Seashore’s touchpools contain more than 5,000 gallons of salt water and are teeming with aquatic life, including Atlantic stingrays, horseshoe crabs and moon jellies.visitor-touching-moon-jellies

The exhibit also features a replicated sandy dune and a digital multi-touch table where guests can learn more about objects that wash up on the beach and animals that live along the seashore. After exploring Living Seashore, guests leave with a new appreciation for the unique habitat the exhibit represents!living-seashore-exhibit
