The Big Idea

Our organization’s goal in restructuring the area around piers 3 and 4 is to encourage the local community and our guests from across the globe to embrace their place and impact on the Chesapeake Bay and our blue planet.

Our plans for this area include:

  • Creating a welcoming and engaging green space for everyone to enjoy;

  • Fostering stewardship and a vision of a healthier future by demonstrating how we can work together to improve the well-being of the Inner Harbor;

  • Showcasing working ecosystems to help guests learn about habitat restoration, native species and water-quality;

  • Helping guests understand the emotional and environmental benefits of citizen science projects!

Together, we can continue to develop a thriving waterfront from all to enjoy! To learn how you can support this project, click here.
