Our Animal Rescue team is currently caring for a grey seal pup named Lily. Lily originally stranded in Delaware and was transferred to our rehabilitation facility on April 5.

The team is currently treating Lily’s fractured lower jaw with pain meds, a cocktail of antibiotics and fluids. When she arrived, Lily wasn't eating on her own, so staff prepared a delicious blend of fish to administer via tube several times a day.

We’re happy to report that with a little help from staff, Lily is now swallowing solid food on her own. She is also enjoying chasing and catching live minnows. So far, she’s making great progress!

You can help us care for Lily and other rescued marine animals by donating items from our National Aquarium Animal Rescue Wishlist on Amazon.

Lily's injury will require surgery. Stay tuned for more updates as the date for the procedure is finalized!
