Scout, a Linne’s two-toed sloth, was born at the Aquarium last November. Since then, he’s spent most of his time cozied up to mom, Ivy, snacking on sweet potatoes and fruit.

Linne’s two-toed sloths are found throughout the rain forests of South America. They spend most of their time napping in the trees, only climbing down about once a week to urinate or defecate.

Did you know? Sloths even mate and give birth while hanging upside down!

Can’t celebrate with Scout in-person today? Leave him a birthday message in the comments section!
