Aquarium Advocates
The Aquarium Advocates are a young affiliates group dedicated to the support & advancement of the Aquarium. A vital support group for the Aquarium’s fundraising programs, this group plans and executes our annual fundraising event – Splash! In ten years, the event has raised more than $750,000.
The Advocates plan and participate in fundraising, educational, and social activities such as:
- Broadening the awareness of and participation in the Aquarium.
- Educating people about the mission and the work of the Aquarium.
- Creating good public relations for the Aquarium.
- Identifying and soliciting those who have immediate potential to join the Aquarium’s Donor Society.
- Developing a cadre of people who actively participate in fundraising activities for the Aquarium.
Advocates are donor-members of the Aquarium, at a minimum contribution level of $250. These members of the Stingray Club (our $250 level donor club), receive a myriad of benefits, some reserved just for Advocates. Those Advocate-only benefits include:
- Invitations to high-level openings and meetings
- Invitations to Advocate-only networking events and programs
- Advance briefings on new Aquarium projects
- Two free tickets to all Lecture Series events
- One free ticket to Splash!
- A chance to create Baltimore’s hottest and most popular fundraising event – Splash!
