World Oceans Day

Aerial View of the Ocean

Each year, around 8 million tons of plastic enter the ocean. This year, on World Oceans Day, people around the world are working together to protect our ocean and end plastic pollution.

Join us at the National Aquarium on Friday, June 8, 2018, from 3 to 7 pm for an evening full of interactive activities, games and educational opportunities, both inside and outside our building. Each activity is designed to teach us how plastics can impact our backyards, our ocean and our lives. Come and take part in finding solutions to protect the planet we all share.

Indoor activities are included with Aquarium admission. Outdoor activities are subject to change in the event of inclement weather.

After spending the evening with us at the Aquarium, you can continue your journey to help the ocean in Washington D.C. on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the March for the Ocean. For more information, visit marchfortheocean.org.
